Several alleged CAD drawings of the new low-cost iPad Apple is about to launch have surfaced through a case maker.

Apple has long been rumored to be releasing a new low-cost iPad this year, a new model that is said to switch from a Lightning to USB-C port as well as come with a faster chip. Although the recent CAD drawing image does not pit the situation of the connection ports due to being hidden, it more or less gives users a clearer view of this product.

The renders show that the new low-cost iPad will come with a camera cluster on the back with a sensor and LED flash, as well as a front-facing layout compared to the previous model that saw the front camera placed on the top bezel and touch sensor. Touch ID fingerprint sensor is embedded in the Home button on the bottom bezel. The bezels around the machine are still quite large, although it is rumored to switch to a 10.5-inch or 10.9-inch screen, up from the current 10.2-inch.

The new iPad is also said to come with the same A14 Bionic chip found on the iPhone 12 series, and an upgrade from the A13 Bionic found on the 2021 iPad. So it's an improved version of Apple's cheapest tablet , at least. if these renderings are correct.

The new device measures 248.62 x 179.5 x 6.98 mm, which means it will be shorter, wider and thinner than the current model. iPad 2022 is expected to be launched in September alongside the new iPhone 14 series or at a separate event possibly in October. The tablet will launch with the new iPadOS 16 upon release, though the update This may be delayed for existing iPad models.
